MAT全称The Mathematics Admissions Test，是数学能力测试，主要针对牛津大学数学相关专业。MAT是由剑桥大学招生考试服务中心与牛津大学合作准出的数学系入学考试。 帝国理工数学相关所有专业(除了数学和计算机联合专业外)都要求参加MAT测试，其成绩作为录取的依据(帝国理工学院数学系也接受STEP考试，部分专业同时接受MAT与STEP考试，具体情况需要查看帝国理工相关专业的说明)。

考试形式：

MAT考试时间为2小时30分，共有7题，选择5个完成;考试内容主要是集中在Pure Math部分。试卷形式分为选择题和解答题。其中选择题，共10个题目，每题4分，其余大题(第2-7大题)均为解答题，每大题15分。

考试建议：

数学、数学和哲学、数学和统计专业，必须选考1-5大题;数学和计算机科学专业，必须选考1、2、3、5、6大题;计算机科学专业必须选考1、2、5、6、7大题。公式表、计算器、外语词典都是禁止使用。
